Join us at Sew Fabulous for our Sewcial Morning! A drop-in sewing event designed for confident beginners and above.
Bring your own project and enjoy uninterrupted sewing time in our beautiful classroom space. Whether you’re working on a garment, home decor, or gifts, this is your space to relax, create, and connect.
We provide:
- Use of one of our fully-equipped sewing machines
- A qualified instructor on hand to help if you get stuck (no formal lesson)
- Light refreshments (coffee, tea, and sweet treats)

Whether you’re dreaming of cosplay, historical attire, or original designs, Costume Couture will guide you through concept design, fabric selection, construction techniques, fitting and finishing touches. No fairy godmother required! Just your creativity and a desire to bring characters to life through craftsmanship.

Join us for a fun and skill-building five-week sewing course designed specifically for students eager to learn the art of sewing in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Class Details:
Cost: $249 per student
Schedule Options:
- Starting September 3, Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Duration: 5 consecutive weeks
Class Size: Limited to 7 students per session for individual attention
Optional Add-On: A personal sewing kit is available for purchase for $60 (includes scissors, tape measure, pins, seam gauge, seam ripper, and more) everything your student needs to continue sewing confidently at home.

Get Started with Confidence!
New to sewing or need a refresher? Sewing Machine 101 is the perfect place to begin! In this hands-on, beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to thread your machine, wind a bobbin, adjust basic settings, and troubleshoot common hiccups — all while practicing essential stitches and sewing techniques.
Walk away ready to tackle your first projects with less frustration and more confidence at the machine.
Class Details:
Cost: $85 per student
Class length & type: 2hr lecture/demo 1pm-3pm
Skills taught:
Parts of machine, threading/bobbin winding, presser foot/ accessory basics, stitch setting and selection, needle/thread choice/types, troubleshooting & maintenance, how to begin a seam and guide fabric
Materials to be provided:
Scrap fabric, contrasting thread for top and bobbin
Tools Needed:
● Sewing machine in good working order with cords and manual
● Thread snips / small scissors
● Flat-head screwdriver
Tools Suggested:
● Pins or clips as preferred
● Pen & paper
Description:
Learn how to use your sewing machine! In this two-hour class, Jen will teach you the basics of operating and maintaining your sewing machine. This is a perfect class for someone who has recently (or not so recently) inherited or purchased a sewing machine and wants to know what’s next!
Topics will include identifying the parts of your machine, winding a bobbin, threading correctly, understanding different bobbin systems (top drop vs front-load), adjusting stitch settings, using presser feet appropriately, choosing the right needle and thread, and beginning a seam successfully. The class also covers basic troubleshooting (like thread bunching or skipped stitches) and how to clean and care for your machine.
Pre-Class Preparations (Student):
Gather your machine and make sure you know where your foot pedal, power cord, and manual are. If you are missing any of these items, we recommend ordering a replacement from sewingpartsonline.com or your local sewing machine dealership.

Print handouts, assemble class supply kits.

Cost: $245 – Includes Materials, machine rental and a Sew Confident Kids t-shirt
Class size: Small group for plenty of individual attention.
Private Sewing Lessons
At Sew Fabulous, our private sewing lessons are tailored just for you. To ensure the best experience possible, please read the following before booking:
- Private lessons are $75 per hour, First lesson is 2-hours long ($150 total). All other lessons are per your desired length.
- Lessons must be scheduled by phone so we can match you with the instructor best suited to your goals. Call us at 843-277-7101 to get started.
- Payment is required in advance to confirm your appointment.
- Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 48 hours in advance to receive a credit toward a future lesson.
- You have the option to bring your own sewing machine or rent one for $10.
No-call/no-shows forfeit the full lesson fee and are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.
