We offer sewing classes and camps for adults, kids, and teens at all skill levels. Whether you’re brand new to sewing or building on skills you already have, our classes are designed to be welcoming, supportive, and hands-on.
We focus on real-world sewing skills, patient instruction, and a calm learning environment so students feel confident and capable as they learn. The goal of all our classes is for students to learn high-quality skills they can use over and over again.

Adult Classes & Workshops
These classes are designed to be taken in any order, though many adults begin with Using a Sewing Machine, then move into practical workshops, build confidence through guided practice, and access private support if needed.
New to sewing or looking for a refresher before starting projects?
Using a Sewing Machine is a beginner-friendly, hands-on class designed to help you feel comfortable and confident using your sewing machine. This class is ideal if you’re brand new to sewing, haven’t used your machine in a long time, or feel unsure about how it works.
You’ll learn how to thread your machine, wind a bobbin, adjust basic settings, and practice essential stitches. We also cover common issues that cause frustration (like oiling your machine and if it needs it), so you leave knowing how to troubleshoot and get started with confidence.
What’s included:
● Step-by-step instruction from a qualified sewing instructor
● Hands-on practice at your machine
● Scrap fabric and contrasting thread for learning and practice
Class details:
● Cost: $75 per student
● When: 1:00 PM–3:00 PM
● Class length: 2-hour lecture and demonstration

Ready to move beyond your sewing machine and start making things?
Sewing Basics is a beginner-friendly class designed to help adults build foundational sewing skills they can use for simple projects and everyday repairs. This class is ideal if you feel comfortable using your sewing machine and want to learn how to sew straight seams, follow basic steps, and turn fabric into finished items.
You’ll practice core construction skills in a calm, supportive environment and complete a simple project while learning how to measure, sew, and assemble with confidence. The focus is on clarity, repetition, and building skills you can use again and again.
What’s included:

Simple Alterations: Pants Hemming is a beginner-friendly workshop designed to teach you how to hem pants like a pro. This class is ideal if you want to handle basic alterations at home that look like they were professionally done, save money, and feel more comfortable using your sewing machine.
You’ll learn how to measure and mark hems, pin fabric correctly, sew a clean hem, and finish it neatly. The focus is on clear, step-by-step instruction so you can repeat the process on your own after class.
What’s included:

Looking for some creative time in the morning with other women who enjoy sewing? Need to book in advance.
Sewcial Morning is a relaxed, drop-in sewing session for adults who feel comfortable using a sewing machine and want dedicated time to work on their own projects in a welcoming, supportive space.
Bring a project you’re already working on and enjoy uninterrupted sewing time in our studio. Whether you’re sewing a garment, home décor, or gifts, this is a chance to slow down, create, and connect with others who love making things.
What’s included:
● Use of one of our fully equipped sewing machines
● A qualified instructor available to answer questions or help if you get stuck (no formal lesson)
● Light refreshments, including coffee, tea, and sweet treats
Information:
Cost: $35 per person
When: 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, 9:00AM – 12:00 PM

Sewcial Soirée is a drop-in evening sewing session for adults who enjoy sewing and want dedicated time to work on their own projects in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Private Sewing Lessons

Private sewing lessons at Sew Fabulous Academy offer individualized instruction for students who prefer a quieter, more personalized learning experience. These sessions are ideal if you’re brand new to sewing, returning after a long break, or working through a specific challenge at your own pace.
Lessons are focused, supportive, and structured to help you build confidence while learning practical sewing skills that meet you where you are.
What’s included:
- One-on-one instruction with a qualified sewing instructor
- Guidance tailored to your goals and experience level
- Support in a calm, welcoming studio environment
Class details:
- Cost: $75 per hour; Payment is required in advance to confirm your appointment. You’re welcome to bring your own sewing machine, or you may rent one from the studio for $10.
- First lesson: 2-hour minimum ($150 total)
- Ongoing lessons: Scheduled for your preferred length

Private lessons are scheduled by phone so we can match you with the instructor best suited to your needs. To schedule, please call 843-277-7101.
Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 48 hours in advance to receive a credit toward a future lesson. No-call/no-shows forfeit the full lesson fee and are not eligible for refund or rescheduling.
Kids & Teens Programs
Classes are offered throughout the year, with school-year programs, seasonal workshops, and summer camps. Our kids programs are designed to build confidence gradually through hands-on learning and repetition.

From First Stitch to Fabulous
Looking for a fun, confidence-building sewing class for kids?
Sew Confident Kids is a five-week sewing program designed for children ages 8–13 who want to learn real sewing skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. Classes are structured, engaging, and beginner-friendly, with plenty of guidance along the way.
Students learn foundational sewing skills, become comfortable using a sewing machine, and complete projects they can feel proud of. The focus is on building confidence, creativity, and independence through making.
What’s included:
● Step-by-step instruction from a qualified sewing instructor
● Use of sewing machines during class
● All materials needed for projects
● A Sew Confident Kids t-shirt
Class details:
Cost: $245 per student; Classes are kept small to allow for individual attention. Advance registration is required.
Ages: 8–13
When: Saturdays, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Session length: 5 weeks (dates announced seasonally)

Kids Sewing Summer Camps are immersive, week-long programs designed for kids who want to learn sewing in a supportive, creative environment. Camps focus on hands-on learning, daily repetition, and projects kids are proud to take home.
Students build sewing skills through guided instruction, practice time, and creative exploration. Camps are designed to be beginner-friendly while still engaging for returning students, helping confidence grow naturally throughout the week.
